This tool calculates the shape of a firewall and dashboard by running straight lines in 3D from each nose cone point through the edge of the firewall and ending at the edge of the dashboard.
Axes:Note: There is no 'save' feature yet. Please save your nose cone points [in a text file]. Also, please save the values in the control panel on the right. Sorry for the inconvenience - if there's interest in a saving/sharing feature, I'll add this in the future.
Enter nosecone points here in inches as "x, y". Start at the center of the nosecone (where x = 0 and y is the max height of the nosecone). Add points moving toward the passenger edge of the nosecone (where x will be half the width of the nosecone and y = 0). You only need to enter half of the points for the nosecone, because the other points will be mirrored by negating the x coordinates of the entered points.
Note:The default nosecone points shown at page load are what I used for my Kinetic TTL nosecone with 4 inch inserts (the nosecone on the right in the picture). I used the inserts to widen the nosecone for my 442e frame. Therefore, please don't assume that these default nosecone points will be what you need for your locost.
I can add metric input for this field if anyone is interested
